Tracing our journey from a modest beginning to a leading educational institution in Kollam district
The school was established as a government high school in Kadakkal, serving the educational needs of the local community in Kollam district.
New buildings were constructed and additional divisions added to accommodate the growing student population. The school became a well-known institution in the region.
The Higher Secondary section was established, upgrading the institution to GHSS Kadakkal. Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams were introduced.
Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) wing was added with Agriculture Science and Physical Education courses, completing the transformation to GVHSS Kadakkal.
Integration of ICT in education through the IT@School (now KITE) project. Smart classrooms, computer labs, and digital learning resources were introduced.
Today, GVHSS Kadakkal stands as a comprehensive educational institution with HS, HSS, and VHSS wings, serving hundreds of students annually with modern infrastructure and dedicated faculty.
